About Us
With over 5,500 acres of land across the capital, TfL is one of London's largest landowners. As Places for London, TfL's property company, it is our mission to untap the potential of that land to improve existing properties and build new ones to meet the growing needs of our city.
We're here to help create a greener, kinder more connected London.

Doing things differently
By partnering with other organisations and our customers we can realise a greener, more sustainable city through our places, properties and our people.
We’ve introduced skills and education programmes to energise the construction industry with new talent and inspire the next generation of city-builders and place-makers, all while creating significant social and economic benefits for local communities and the capital as a whole.
We already provide space for hundreds of incredible businesses, now we’re going further to create even more of the spaces that all kinds of businesses need to thrive.
We’re building more than 20,000 new homes in the next ten years. And by homes we mean sustainable, desirable, beautiful homes, many of them affordable – where Londoners can grow their roots.
Whilst upgrading existing workspaces, we’ll be delivering 3,000,000 sq ft of some of the most sustainable, flexible and connected office space in the capital.
Leadership & Governance
Our name is a promise – of green places. Beautiful places. Accessible places. Vibrant places. Connected and thriving places. Places for every part of London, and every kind of Londoner.
For anyone who has ever loved this city, and everyone who calls it home.

Places for all of us
London isn't bricks and mortar. It's people. Family. Communities. 8.8 million people, each with their own story. Keeping London thriving means minding its gaps and supporting its growth. Not just the housing gap, but the skills gap, the clean air gap, the green spaces long neglected, the gaps on our high streets, the spaces that need our focus so every Londoner, every neighbourhood and every community can thrive.

With a rich history of design, we continue to build on TfL's iconic identity and factor design and heritage in everything we build and restore.
Our sustainability plans are as ambitious as our development plans. We are driving towards net zero carbon by 2030 and are committed to more thriving and inclusive places.
